Entryway Lighting Setup Advice
Entryway lighting
A first impression is made in the first two seconds, and the entry is usually the dimmest part of the house. These six fixtures are picked for a foyer, stairwell or hallway: two pendants to hang over a console, a chandelier for a double-height entry, and a sconce for when there is no ceiling box to work with.
Over a console table
Lux Halo (15.7" and 23.6" diameter) and Akari Washi Globe (from 11.8" up) give a clean, close-hung pool of light. The Lux Halo cord adjusts to about 79", so it can drop low over a narrow console without crowding a walkway.
For a double-height entry
Oslo is the stone option: a natural alabaster ring on a stainless steel and leather frame, 23.6" or 31.5" across with a 59.1" total height, built-in 20W LED, tri-colour and dimmable.
On the wall
The Chrome Double-Head LED Wall Sconce is hardwired and wall-mounted, with a 3.9" disc, 3" wide and 15" high, built-in 5W warm white LED, sized for a 3–5 m² area. It needs no ceiling work and frees the counter surface.
